B is for...

Today's blog focuses on the letter "b". I can think of several kid movies that are awesome and ignite the imagination. I think that's the problem with America these days there is not enough imagination time. Kids are too caught up with the drama of the real world. They need to step back and breath, it's going to be okay.

So I am starting with one of my favorites Disney's Beauty and the Beast!! This show has the great Angela Landsbury as a singing Tea pot, what is better than that. I love the music and still sing along when I wander across it.

Then there's the new pixar, Brave, which I haven't seen yet, but really want to!!

And I promised a friend I would give a shout out to Bolt. You know the one about the crime fighting dog.

In other news I am in the process of getting my novel together to be published via Kindle Fire. That being said I plan on making one more attempt of selling the story to a potential agent!!

Keep your fingers crossed!!

Law and Order

Imust say that I love Law and Order Special Victims Unit. It's a great show even though Detective Stabler gets on my ners sometimes. The show is great becuase it's the first of its kind to not always end with a happy ending. You sit down to watch it and before you know it your sucked in wih whatever story they are playing out. Some haneous and some downright ridiculous. I love it!! There is drama, drama, drama, which is what life is about and unfortunatley the lives of those really in the SVU. I don't know how they do it, lord knows they aren't paid enough.

Also the show still exist because crime and deviant behavior affects us all, even thoughs who don't want to admit it. We all have dirty little serets, it's just most of us are not doing things that will get us thrown in the slammer.

So here's a clip enjoy and have a happy Tuesday!!

Remakes

Good Morning All!!

I have abone to pick with Hollywood and it's about remaking movies.  Lat night I had the pleasure of watching yet another one of Hollywoods epic fails on a remake--Footloose. You know this one!!

First off let me begin by saying his move was exactly like the first one. Not much changed, which is weird seeing kids dance like they ewere from the 1980's. I know they say history repeats it's self but geez, this is insane. There was no orignialtiy to it whatsoever!! It annoyed me to no end.

I hope they don't plan on making a remake of The Goonies or Flashdance. WE need to jsut get out own ideas Hollywood. Find more writers like the writers of Dream House or Transformers.

Heres a glimpse in the past and I mus say that the orignal Footloose is so much better.

Cohabitating and Poetry

Good Morning all!!

This moring I am going to chat about cohabiting and my demise at writing poetry.

First cohabiation. I just want to begin by saying that most mornings I am out walking and taking in the calm before the storm of the day. While I do this I phappen to notice that most driveways have three or more cars parked in the lot. I know they aren't apartments becuase most of them are thos older ranch stle home that most older people live in. This brings me to my next thought of cohabiting.

The empty nest has returned hom. I"m sure that are more than one or two genrations of families living in the same house. This is neat becuase in other countries this is the norm. America is not normal in that the child leaves the home and never looks back and in most cases put thei parents in a nursing home when they are not able to take care of themselves. I feel most of the time that's a very selfish thing to do. I plan on taking in my parentswhen they can't fend for themselves. But going back to what I said, parents, living with kids, and their kid's kids makes for a very interesting upbring. I bet if they did a survey on those kids they would find some very striking differences. Hmmm...sounds like a good experiment. Any takers.

Now onto poetry. Last night for class I have to analyze these two pems which were very different but about the same topic, losing things or themselves. it was then that I realized that I cannot write poetry that is good. My poetry usually consist of a bunch of words seperated by puntuation wtih no rhyme or reason. I"m sure there is a specific poem type that I just describe. But I guess, I hope I get better. I use to write poetry for like a minute, but I thought it ducked so I trashed it all. I"m sure I still have the notbook somewhere.

The song of the day!!

Monday Monday

Good Morning out and there!!

Whew!! I am so glad this weekend is over. There were some really rought times, but we made it through with the sun shining!!

More importantly I had to write a poem today about the season and it was on eof the hardest things I have ever done.

I got my two mile walk in today and feel great about ti and looking forward to a GREAT week!! No seriously. I mean I am thankful I have a job, a woman I love, cats and dogs. Life couldn't get better. Okay I take that back it can get better if I had a book deal. One can dream can't they!!

Well this weekend I happend to come across the movie Savages.

From this clip you see that the actress Blake Lively who is most noted for her role of Serena Vanderwoodsen the "it" girl from the upper East Side show called Gossip Girl. I must say that I woul have thought her playing this role, but she shocked me and pulled it off.

Now I'm not going to tell you abou the movie, the trailer covers that. What I am going to tell you about is that if your looking for a semi deranged movie to watch that leaves you quessing watch this. I recommend NOT watching this around childen. Too vulgar and brutal. Honestly is reminds me of a tames down version of Columbina, you know that movie with Zoe, you know the chick that does the voice in Avatar. So that's my Monday Movie Review..onward to work.

Have a great week all!!

Documentaries

Good Afternoon All!1

Today I am going to discuss documentaries. I love them. Whether they are low budget or cost a fortune to make. if I could make one I would. I don't know what I would do it on. Maybe the day and life of an aspiring author.

In the past I have tried to watch at least one indie movie/documentary film a week. Now it's like one ever two or three months. In the past I have watched documentaries about dolphin cruelty (The Cove) and Parking Lot wars! Yes it was about rivaling parking lot attendants. It was great.  I have also seen shows about modeling and food, but right now I am watching one about the Hunger Games.

Another shout out to my girl Jennifer Lawrence, as I stated yesterday was born to be an actress. I love the way that the people being interviewed point out the difference between a star and a actress. They also pointed out why Kristen Stewart wasn't chosen, stating that she was too passive. I would have to agree. Not that I have anything against her. They are two completely different people.

So log into Netflix and get your documentary on.

Movie Review

Yeah, I have finally mastered blogging most days thanks so much to the A to Z challenge and I have also found some awesome new blogs to read and follow. Today I am going to give a review on the movie, Silver Lining Playbook!!

Here's the Trailer:

If you are looking for a fun quirky and interesting movie then this is it!!

It stars Bradley Cooper and Jennifer Lawrence. Now you probably already know who these two super stars thanks the The Hangover and The Hunger Games. Ha, just noticed that both of their hit moves start with an "h". WEll I bet you don't know where they got their start.

The first movie I had ever seen Mr. Cooper in was My Wet Hot American Summer, it's hilarious!!
Bradley Cooper plays a gay dude and there's even a "intamate" scene in a shed. It's a great cult classic.

The first time I saw Jennifer Lawrence was in the move called The Poker House, it's a autobiographical fim about the life of Lori Petty, you know "Kit" in A league of their Own. Its areally good film. When I saw it I was like yp she was born to be an actress and will go far!! I was right. She;s practically on top of the world. She's one of my favoirte actresses!!

I definelty recomment it!!

On antoher note feel free to check out the new May special for Thirty One Gifts!!
